Shack Tour
Tour of Leopold's Shack leaving from the First Presbyterian Church parking
lot, 258 Lodi Street (same street as library, 3 blocks west, across RR tracks), at
9:00
AM on Saturday,
March 6th. Advance reservations are necessary and a $10.00 dona tion
to the Aldo Leopold Foundation is requested. Limit of 20 participants. If the
morning tour fills up, an afternoon tour may be scheduled.

The Shack is about a 40 minute drive from Lodi and we will car pool or take a
small bus. We will
be met by a guide there. The tour will take 1-2 hours and we should be back in
Lodi shortly after noon, in time for lunch before the 1:00 reading begins. The
Shack is a private property and visits are by permission of the Aldo Leopold
Foundation only. The Shack and surrounding land are undeveloped. There is no
running water and no bathroom facility at the Shack. In March it will be muddy
and may be cold.
